Overview:

In collaboration with the Hong Kong Mediation Council Construction Mediation Division (“HKMC CMD”), the seminar will cover core principles of mediation and how to prepare for mediation, featuring a live mediation role‑play by experienced HKMC mediators, followed by a Q&A session. The attendees will gain practical insights of mediation as an important means to resolve dispute. This event is ideal for everyone in the construction industry.

6:35pm: Mediation presentation by HKMC CMD outlining mediation process and its advantages in resolving disputes

About HKMC and CMD:

The Hong Kong Mediation Council Limited (“HKMC”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre to promote the development and use of mediation as a method of resolving disputes in Hong Kong and in the region.

The HKMC Construction Mediation Division (“CMD”) is one of the sector-specific groups of HKMC concentrating its mediation activities in construction industry and areas relating to work contracts. The CMD is formed by a group of professionals and experienced mediators, and is providing voluntary mediation seminars to the government, professional firms, and tertiary institutions to introduce and to spread a culture of using mediation to resolve disputes amicably among parties, as an alternative to litigation.
